Product Introduction

 

When the computer is working for a period of time, you will find that the data importing would be abnormally slow, how is that happening? This situation is actually very common, the real reason is the hard disk temperature reaches the maximum protection temperature of the SSD after high loading and long-term use.

 

 

Basically, the maximum working temperature of SSD is generally (70℃~80℃), and the SSD metal shell of SATA interface can effectively dissipate heat and ensure the stable operation of SSD. And many M.2 SSDs will run at a temperature of 65°C, which is already dangerous, and some high-speed SSDs are even higher than 70°C. The temperature is too high, and the chip will definitely slow down to protect itself.

 

Once the SSD reaches its protective temperature, the SSD will slow down. If the CPU temperature is too high, it will automatically reduce the frequency to protect itself, this problem can be solved by the CPU heatsinks. So how to solve the problem when the SSD temperature is too high? The answer is SSD heatsink.

 

With the development of SSD technology, more SSD heat sinks are designed to meet the thermal requirements of SSD, there are 4 main SSD heatsinks as below:

 

 

Type 1, single side heatsink, the heat sink can only be used for single-sided heat dissipation, and it can be fixed on the SSD by sticking or other methods, and can only be attached to one surface of the SSD, this type of heatsink is usually manufactured by extruding or cold forging, the price is low, and it does not take up space, the paste effect will be reduced after a long time, and the heat dissipation is average. At present, many solid-state drives are single-sided structures, including some 1TB products.

Type 2, double side heatsink, this type of heatsink fixed by the upper and lower two-layer installation method generally needs to be fixed with screws, which is relatively tight with the SSD, and will not loosen even if it is used for a long time. It needs to be disassembled and installed. It is cost-effective and cheap. The upper and lower surfaces heat of the SSD can be dissipated.

Type 3, heat pipe heatsink, this type of heat sink is no longer limited to metal heat sinks, but is mainly dissipating the heat by heat pipes. Compared with single metal heat sinks, heat pipes have stronger thermal conductivity and can dissipate heat in time.

Type 4, fan-type heatsink, the heat sink or heat pipe conducts heat out, blows the heat away through the rotation of the fan, and the heat sink or heat pipe absorbs the heat again to achieve the purpose of cooling the SSD.
