As copper owns a tremendous thermal conductivity, the thermal transfer effeciency is almost double than aluminum, so copper fin heat sink is a brilliant option for high density power applications which generate the high flux heat. Copper can absorb the heat from electronic components and spread it fast to the copper fin and dissipate into the air. Copper fin heat sink offers a wonderful thermal performance in forced air cooling.

Cooper fin heat sink is classified into copper skived fin heat sink, copper folded fin heat sink, copper pin fin heat sink, copper zipper fin heat sink.

Copper skived fin heat sink: it's manufactured by shoving the fins from a solid copper bar, which allows the very thin fins and high aspect ratio and high fin density.

Copper folded fin heat sink: It's produced by a stamping and folding process to form the folded fins, and soldered with copper base, the heat pipe can be embeded if higher thermal requirements needed.

Copper pin fin heat sink: This heat sink is made by forging process, usually the pin fin shape is round which has better thermal performance when the ambient airflow is not steady.

Copper zipper fin heat sink: it's formed by stamping process with a tooling, it's a most common copper fin type.
