Application
Application of the rubber o ring:
A: Sealing in specified electronic enclosure joints; confirm groove width, depth, ring squeeze and mating clearances.
B: Water-exposure requirements must be reviewed for the complete enclosure, including the joint design and assembly conditions. The O-ring alone does not establish an enclosure protection rating.
C: Temperature and cleaning-fluid exposure require review of the selected silicone compound. Specify exposure duration, thermal cycling and medium with the inquiry.
Product Description
Confirm finished ring dimensions and manufacturing range for the selected compound. A catalog size range is not a specification for the individual enclosure seal.
Select the silicone compound and hardness for the actual temperature, water and chemical exposure. Other elastomers require separate material review.
