Charging

  • Avoid Overcharging: While tolerant, excessive overcharging can damage the battery. Use smart chargers with negative delta voltage (-ΔV) detection or temperature cut-off (DTO) for rapid charging to terminate charge automatically .

  • Temperature Monitoring: Charge only within the specified temperature range (0°C to +45°C). Charging outside this range can lead to reduced capacity and potential damage .

  • Charge in a Well-Ventilated Area: Provide adequate space around the charger and battery during charging.

 

Discharging

Storage

  • Storage State: For long-term storage (longer than a few months), it is often recommended to store the battery in a discharged state .
  • Cool and Dry Environment: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat sources. The ideal storage temperature is between -20°C to +35°C .

  • Recovery after Storage: After prolonged storage, the battery may require a few charge/discharge cycles to regain its full capacity .
