Warnings & Precautions
Charging
- Use the Correct Charger: ALWAYS use a Li-ion specific charger designed for batteries and the CC/CV method.
- Monitor Charging: Do not leave batteries charging unattended for extended periods or overnight. Disconnect once fully charged.
- Charge in a Safe Area: Charge on a non-flammable surface in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and flammable materials. Never charge in exit routes like hallways.
Discharging
- Prevent Over-Discharge: Do not discharge the pack below the recommended cut-off voltage (typically 11.0V - 12.0V for the pack). Deep discharge can cause permanent damage.
- Avoid Extreme Loads: Do not exceed the specified maximum continuous discharge current (7.5A). Excessive current can lead to overheating.
- Temperature Management: Allow the battery to cool to ambient temperature after heavy use before recharging. Do not operate or charge a battery that is hot to the touch.
Storage
- Storage State: For long-term storage (>1 month), partially charge the battery to approximately 40-60% capacity (about 3.8V per cell). Store in a cool, dry place within the recommended temperature range.
- Inspect before each use. Do not use if you notice swelling, deformation, leakage, strange odors, or damage to the casing.
- Never puncture, crush, disassemble, or immerse the battery in water.
- Prevent short circuits by never allowing the metal terminals to contact conductive materials like keys or tools.
