Warnings & Precautions

Charging

  • Dedicated Charger: ONLY use a programmable LiPo balance charger. Confirm settings: Battery Type: LiPo, Cells: 3S (11.1V).

  • Charge Rate: For longevity, use 1C (3.25A). Do not exceed 3C (9.75A) even if capable.

  • Never Unattended: ALWAYS monitor the charging process. Charge in/on a LiPo Safety Bag or fireproof container placed on a non-flammable surface away from combustible materials.

  • Mandatory Balance Charging: EVERY charge cycle must utilize the JST-XH balance lead to maintain cell health and safety.

  • Immediate Termination: Disconnect immediately if the battery swells, heats excessively (>45°C), emits odor/smoke, or shows any physical breach.


Discharging


  • Voltage Guardrails: NEVER discharge below 9.0V (3.0V per cell). NEVER charge above 12.6V (4.2V per cell). Use a low-voltage alarm or telemetry.

  • Temperature Management: Operate within -10°C to 60°C. Optimal range is 15°C-40°C. Allow to cool to ambient temperature before charging.

  • Physical Integrity: Inspect before each flight/use for swelling, punctures, or connector damage. DO NOT USE if compromised.

  • Short Circuit Prevention: ALWAYS install protective caps on the XT60 connector when not plugged into a device. Keep terminals clean and isolated.

  • Environmental Protection: Keep dry. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperatures.

Storage

  • Storage State of Charge: For storage >48 hours, set to Storage Voltage (3.80V-3.85V per cell / 11.4V-11.55V total) using your charger's storage function.

  • Safe Storage: Store in a cool, dry environment (10°C-25°C) inside a fireproof container. Avoid storing fully charged or fully depleted.

  • Transportation: For air travel, terminals must be protected from short circuits. As a <100Wh battery, it is typically permitted in carry-on baggage in reasonable quantities (verify with airline).
