The excavator main hydraulic pump is a core energy conversion device based on axial variable piston working principle. Driven by the engine spindle, the cylinder block drives multiple piston groups to perform reciprocating motion. Oil suction and pressurization are completed through the isolation and flow distribution of the valve plate. The swash plate tilt angle directly determines piston stroke and pump displacement, and the external hydraulic regulator adjusts the tilt angle in real time according to system load signals. Its three core control systems constitute the complete hydraulic adjustment logic: constant power control matches pump output with engine rated power, load sensing control realizes dynamic flow supply following working demand, and pressure cutoff control provides ultimate overpressure protection. Wear of pistons and valve plates will cause internal leakage, while blocked regulators will lead to abnormal power output, which are the main causes of equipment failure.
