Performance
● Due to smaller volume and allowing the objective lens and eyepiece to be aligned, roof prism is often used for
extremely compact binoculars.
● The key to the roof prism is the exist of roof surface. The so-called roof surface is that there will be a roof-shaped
reflective surface sandwiched by two reflective surfaces in the optical path, and the edges of the two surfaces are
in the middle of the optical path. Therefore, we can see a demarcation line in the middle of some roof prisms, which
can also be interpreted as splitting the light beam in half and then splicing them together.
