It is soluble in water and shows alkaline reaction. Insoluble in ethanol. Used as water softener, fertilizer, liquid soap, food additive, etc. It can be prepared by adding potassium hydroxide to dipotassium hydrogen phosphate solution.
Application:
Strengthening agent; flavoring agent; meat binding agent; alkaline water for preparing pasta products. According to the provisions of FAO (1984), the use and limit are: instant broth and soup; its total phosphate 1000mg/kg (calculated as P2O5); processed cheese, its total phosphate dosage is 9g/kg (calculated as phosphorus); cream powder , Milk powder 5g/kg (single use or combined with other stabilizers); luncheon meat, cooked pork forefoot, foreign ham, cooked minced meat 3g/kg (single use or other phosphate combined dosage, based on P2O5); For low-strength concentrated milk, sweetened condensed milk, cream, its single dosage is 2g/kg, combined with other stabilizers 3g/kg (calculated as anhydrous); cold drink 2g/kg (single use or combined with other phosphate Dosage, based on P2O5).
