TKPP Tetra Potassium Pyrophosphate For Metal Surface Cleaner
Product Description:
English name: Potassium Pyrophosphate (TKPP)
Molecular formula: K4P2O7
Molecular weight: 330.33
CAS NO.: 7320-34-5
HS-CODE: 28353990
Properties: white powder. It is hygroscopic in the air. The relative density is 2.534. The melting point is 1109°C. It loses two molecules of crystal water at 180℃, and all crystal water at 300℃. The properties are similar to sodium pyrophosphate, but the solubility is greater. It is soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol. The aqueous solution is alkaline. The solubility in 100g of water at 25oC is 187g. 1% aqueous solution pH=10.2
The main purpose of potassium pyrophosphate is to replace potassium cyanide for non-cyanide electroplating. With the development of national industrial modernization, the demand for potassium pyrophosphate is increasing. In industry, it is also used in surface treatment, high-end detergents, paint coatings, cleaning agents, dispersants, buffers, etc.; in the food industry, it is used as emulsifiers, tissue improvers, chelating agents, quality improvers, etc. Potassium pyrophosphate can also be prepared from dipotassium hydrogen phosphate.

Application:
Mainly used for non-cyanide electroplating, instead of sodium cyanide as a complexing agent for electroplating. It is also used as a pretreatment agent for electroplating and as a pyrophosphate electroplating solution. Preparation of detergent components for clothing, metal surface cleaning agents and bottle detergent components, additives for various cleaning agents. Used as a clay dispersant in the ceramic industry, as a dispersant and buffer for pigments and dyes. The bleaching and dyeing industry is used to remove a small amount of ferric ions in the water to improve the quality of bleaching and dyeing.
