Etc.; food-grade emulsifiers, tissue improvers, chelating agents, quality improvers, etc. used in food processing
Properties:
Potassium pyrophosphate has all the properties of other polymeric phosphates, similar to sodium pyrophosphate, but has greater solubility and can chelate with alkaline earth metals and heavy metal ions; it can form stable complexes with Ca2+ and Mg2+ in hard water. Soften hard water, improve washing capacity, and remove dirt. It can also form a protective film on the surface of iron, lead, zinc, aluminum and other metals; pyrophosphate ion (P2O74-) has a strong dispersing ability for finely dispersed solids, and can promote the uniform mixing of fine and trace substances. Potassium pyrophosphate with high complexing power (more pyrophosphate ions) has a stable pH buffering capacity, which can maintain the pH of the solution for a long time and reduce the amount of potassium pyrophosphate added.

Application:
Used for cyanide-free electroplating, dyeing, refined clay, etc.;
1 Mainly used for non-cyanide electroplating, instead of sodium cyanide as a complexing agent for electroplating. It is also used as a pretreatment agent for electroplating and as a pyrophosphate electroplating solution. Preparation of detergent components for clothing, metal surface cleaning agents and bottle detergent components, additives for various cleaning agents. Used as a clay dispersant in the ceramic industry, as a dispersant and buffer for pigments and dyes. The bleaching and dyeing industry is used to remove a small amount of ferric ions in the water to improve the quality of bleaching and dyeing. Potassium pyrophosphate is also an excellent stabilizer for hydrogen peroxide.
2 Used as an emulsifier, texture improver, chelating agent in the food industry, and also used as a raw material for alkaline water for noodle products. It is often used in combination with other condensed phosphates. It is usually used to prevent struvite from canned aquatic products and prevent discoloration of canned fruits; increase the expansion of ice cream, the yield of ham and sausage, and the water holding capacity of ground fish; improve the taste of noodles and increase the yield Rate, prevent cheese aging, etc.
3. Potassium pyrophosphate can also be used as a complexing agent for alkaline electroless nickel plating and for preparing detergents. Pyrophosphate can also be used as a complexing agent for alkaline nickel plating.
