Potassium tripolyphosphate is a white crystalline powder. The density is 2.54g/cm3. The melting point is 620～640℃. The bulk density is 1.07g/cm3. Easily soluble in water, it is alkaline in aqueous solution and will gradually hydrolyze to form phosphate in water. The rate of hydrolysis is related to pH and temperature. It has a good ability to complex metal ions and is an excellent metal complexing agent. The water is gradually hydrolyzed into orthophosphate.

Applications:
Potassium tripolyphosphate is used as a tissue improver, chelating agent, and water quality treatment agent in food processing. It is widely used in aquatic products such as luncheon meat, cooked pork leg, cooked ham and minced meat, sweetened condensed milk, butter, milk powder, processed cheese, quick-frozen fish fillets, shrimps, etc. Industrially, it is mainly used for soil improvement, oil emulsification, liquid detergent buffer, etc.; in the food industry, it is used as a tissue improver, chelating agent, water quality treatment agent, etc.
Storage method:
