Potassium dihydrogen phosphate, chemical formula KH2PO4. It has deliquescence. When heated to 400 ℃, it melts into a transparent liquid, and then solidifies into an opaque glassy potassium metaphosphate after cooling. Stable in air, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. In industry, it is used as buffer and culture agent; it is also used as bacterial culture agent, flavoring agent for sake synthesis, raw material for potassium metaphosphate production, culture agent, strengthening agent, bulking agent and fermentation assistant for brewing yeast. In agriculture, it is used as high efficient phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer.
Storage method
1. It should be stored in a ventilated, dry, cool, and clean warehouse. The packaging should be sealed and moisture-proof.
2. It shall not be stored or transported together with toxic and other contaminated materials.
3. Prevent rain and hot sun during transportation. Be careful when loading and unloading to prevent damage to the package.
4. In case of fire, water, sand, and various fire extinguishers can be used to fight the fire.
