Properties:
White powder, melting point 622 ℃, soluble in water, has significant chelating ability to calcium, magnesium and other metal ions, can soften hard water, make suspension into solution, has weak alkaline, non corrosive, is an inorganic surfactant, has strong emulsifying effect on lubricating oil and fat, bulk density is usually divided into low density 0.35-0.5g/cm3, medium density 0.51-0.65g/cm3, High density 0.66-0.9g/cm3.
Applications:
Industrial grade sodium tripolyphosphate is mainly used in ceramic industry as degumming agent and water reducing agent, auxiliary agent of synthetic detergent, industrial water softener, boiler water softener, drilling mud dispersant, paper industry as oil repellent, soap synergist and bar soap to prevent oil separation and frost. It has a strong emulsifying effect on lubricating oil and fat. It can be used to adjust the pH value of buffer soap, and as a dispersant in the preparation of suspensions in dyeing auxiliaries, paints, kaolin, magnesium oxide, calcium carbonate and other industries.
