Properties
White powder, melting point 622 ℃, easily soluble in water, has significant chelating ability to metal ions such as calcium and magnesium, can soften hard water and turn suspension into solution, has weak alkalinity and no corrosivity. It is an inorganic surfactant with strong emulsifying effect on lubricating oil and fat. The bulk density is usually divided into low density 0.35-0.5g/cm3 and medium density 0.51-0.65g/cm3, High density 0.66-0.9g/cm3.
Applications:
In the food industry, it is used as a quality improver for cans, fruit juice drinks, dairy products, soybean milk, etc. it is mainly used for tenderizing canned ham, softening bean skin in canned broad beans, and also as a softener and thickener.

Production method:
The main methods of industrial production are thermal phosphoric acid and extraction phosphoric acid, which react with liquid ammonia to produce diammonium hydrogen phosphate. The former has high purity and the latter has low cost.
In the thermal phosphoric acid neutralization liquid ammonia method, the thermal phosphoric acid is diluted with distilled water (water: phosphoric acid = 1.3:1) into dilute phosphoric acid, pumped into the first tubular reactor for neutralization reaction with ammonia, pumped into the second tubular reactor for further reaction with ammonia to make the pH value of the reaction solution reach about 8.0, added arsenic removal agent and heavy metal removal agent for solution purification and filtration, Removal of arsenic and heavy metals and other impurities, the filtrate is sent into the fine adjustment tank to adjust the pH value to 7.8 to 8. The evaporator is evaporated and condensed to 1.3 of relative density and sent into the cooling crystallizer. After cooling crystallization, the mother liquor is centrifugally separated and dried, and then the product of diammonium hydrogen phosphate is prepared.
