Properties
White powder. Relative density 1.52. Soluble in water, the aqueous solution is weakly alkaline, and the pH value of 1% aqueous solution is 8.8 ~ 9.2; Insoluble in alcohol. Melt at 35.1 ℃ and lose 5 crystal water. It is easily weathered in the air. When placed in the air at room temperature, it loses about 5 crystal water to form heptahydrate. When heated to 100 ℃, it loses all crystal water to form anhydrous matter. When heated to 250 ℃, it decomposes into sodium pyrophosphate. After careful drying below 34 ℃, disodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate with white powder can be obtained.
Application
Disodium hydrogen phosphate is used as baking products in food to prevent oxidative discoloration, emulsifier in dairy products to prevent protein solidification, and solid beverage plays the role of chelation, emulsification and buffer. Disodium hydrogen phosphate is also used as soft water agent, fabric weight enhancer, fire retardant, glaze medicine, welding flux, medicine, pigment, food industry and other phosphates
