Torque motor is a kind of special motor with more poles, which can continue to operate at low speed and even when the rotor is blocked (that is, the rotor can not rotate) without causing damage to the motor. In this mode, the motor can provide a stable torque to the load.
A torque motor may also provide torque in the opposite direction of operation.
The shaft of a torque motor outputs power not at constant power but at constant torque.
